What is AGA (male-pattern hair loss)?
AGA is progressive hair loss in men. Changes are often noticed at the hairline or crown: finer hair, more short hairs or increasingly visible scalp. Appearance and progression vary. At our clinic, we discuss treatment while assessing which areas concern you and how widely they are affected.
AGA treatment at Hair Care Clinic
We do not regard AGA treatment as one approach for everyone. After assessing areas of concern, progression, scalp condition and preferences, we explain options including oral medication, topical application, injections and mesotherapy. Progress is reviewed after treatment begins, and the plan is adjusted as needed.
More than one treatment approach
Alongside oral medication, you can discuss treatments we offer, including topical hair-growth exosomes, growth-factor treatments, Dermapen mesotherapy and Juvelook injections.
Injection treatment by area of concern
For AGA, Juvelook injections are priced for 5 × 5cm or 10 × 10cm areas. This makes it easier to discuss both wider areas and localized concerns.
Monitoring progress after treatment starts
Follow-up consultations are free, however many are needed. Returning patients receive ongoing free hair-growth assessment and photographic records to compare changes before and after treatment.
Supporting treatment beyond clinic visits
Our medication subscription has no enrollment, cancellation or shipping fees. Standard prescription shipping costs a flat ¥520 within Japan.

What to assess in AGA treatment
In AGA, hairs tend to shed before growing sufficiently thick and long, making thinning gradually more noticeable. Areas of concern, the extent of progression and previous treatments differ. Rather than simply prescribing medication, Hair Care Clinic explains the options we offer, from oral and topical treatments to injections, mesotherapy, transplantation and regenerative hair treatments.
The hair-growth cycle
Normal hair cycle
AGA hair cycle
Hair grows and is replaced in cycles. AGA disrupts this cycle, increasing hairs that have not fully grown and making changes in thickness and density more noticeable.
We therefore discuss not only slowing progression, but also the areas currently concerning you and which treatments you would like to consider.
AGA treatment options at Hair Care Clinic
Treatment needs depend on your condition and goals. We offer oral medication as well as topical application, injections and mesotherapy.
HairReactive® / HairReactiveD®
Our AGA treatment combines finasteride or dutasteride, minoxidil and nutrients. Prescriptions are determined after medical consultation.

Follow-up after starting treatment
Changes in AGA can be difficult to assess from short-term appearance alone. We provide follow-up consultations and photographic records to monitor progress.
Think you may have AGA?
AGA is not the only cause of hair loss, but please consult us if the following changes persist.
- More fine, short hairs resembling vellus hair.
- More shedding than before.
- Hair loss among family members or relatives.
- A receding frontal hairline.
- Increasingly visible scalp at the crown.
- Feeling that your hair is thinner than others of the same age.
- Concerns about scalp condition, such as oiliness.
Our basic approach to AGA treatment
We do not describe AGA treatment as simply taking a particular medicine. Explanations and costs differ for people who prefer ongoing oral medication, want to combine localized procedures or wish to consider transplantation.
We discuss your current condition, treatment history, concerns, ease of attending and budget, then select from the treatments we offer together.
Topical hair-growth exosomes
Our topical hair-growth exosome treatment uses highly purified human adipose-cell-derived exosomes containing 100 billion exosomes. This elective option differs in its positioning from standard AGA treatment.
For preparation, please book at least four hours before your desired treatment time via LINE .
